[VIDEO] Kevin Hunter Wants Multi-Million Dollar Settlement While Wendy Williams Looks For A Date

The drama-filled divorce between Wendy Williams and husband Kevin Hunter is just getting started. Reports say Hunter isn’t objecting to the divorce but that he is set on collecting a multi-million dollar settlement.
During the course of their public seperation, Williams demoted Hunter from her acclaimed television show – removing him as executive producer of the show and also ousted him as her manager. But Hunter is expecting a severance package as an employee of the the talk show.
The Blast reports that “likely Hunter will be removed from the TV show as a formality while he continues negotiations for his all-encompassing settlement.” Right now, his name will be removed from the credits and he is no longer allowed on set.
The couple have been together since 1997. Through these years Hunterhas been apart of her dealings as her partner and manager.
Now Williams is reported to be worth an estimated $60 million. Commentators believe he’ll use his involvement with her career as a means to receive a considerable settlement.
But whose side is the law on? Williams or Hunter?
The Blast said:
New Jersey allows grounds for a fault divorce, which could majorly effect the distribution of property and funds. If Wendy accused Hunter of breaking up the marriage because of cheating, and can prove he spent marital funds while committing adultery, it could greatly impact his final settlement.
On the flip side, drug habituation can be also be grounds for a fault divorce, so Hunter could accuse Wendy of causing the split due to her ongoing issues with substance abuse.
Many have commented on The Michael Baisden Live Facebook page about the allegations of a mistress and baby. Here’s what some of you had to say:
Jamesina Gabrielle Phillips believed that the only reason the divorce is happening is because all the drama went public. She wrote, “I think if all this didnt go public wendy would still be married. I mean he was having an affair for 10 years & wendy didnt know? I dont believe that at all.”
While Kecia Tidwell said, “Wendy knew all this time that Kevin had a side chick. There is no way for over 10 years Wendy didn’t know! Trust me, she had private investigators and all spy on him. Wendy allowed him to have a woman on the side for what ever reason. The deal was, he was NEVER to get her pregnant!! That was the deal breaker for her. Remember everything Wendy went through to have little Kevin.”
Freda Turner wrote: “Wendy going through trials and tribulations. But, over it all, the strong will survive. My prayers are with her all the way, including her son. Freedom, peace, happiness, joy, love, and respect is all that matters. Life is to short to be a fool. I wish her nothing but the best. Yes indeed”
Williams had previously opened up to her audience this week about marriage and seemed to tell audiences that her marriage wasn’t going to crumble.
“Marriages have ebbs and flows, marriage isn’t easy. And don’t ask me about mine until you see this gone,” she said while motioning at her wedding ring. “And it ain’t going anywhere, not in this lifetime.”
This week however, the talk show host addressed her fight to sobreity and revealed that she’s committed to getting better for her son.
“Addressing my sobriety, my addiction head-on, has really helped me sort out every single compartment in my life,” Williams said. “I have a commitment to me and my son to come out of here better, stronger and faster than ever—and by the way, I will still commit—’cause you’ll forget about my business any moment now—I commit that the motto of this show will always be ‘their business is our business!'”
Whatever happens in the divorce proceedings Williams will still be getting her money as the popular daytime talk show host. Her contract with Lionsgate until 2020 according to Deadline.
