Woman Loses Her Husband And ‘Miracle Child’ To Coronavirus Within Days

Michigan woman, Sandy Brown, has been knocked by grief in the most unimaginable way – losing her husband and only child to the coronavirus in just three days.
Freddie Brown, 59, was a staple around his community and a loving husband. Detroit News reports that the couple was married for 35 years. The pair struggled to have children for 15 years and had all but given up on conception. At 40 years old, Sandy became pregnant with Freddie III.
Sandy’s husband became sick in mid-March. He experienced aching muscles, nausea, and excessive sweating. Sandy eventually had to take him to a hospital when he was unable to keep food and water down, said Detroit News.
On March 22, Freddie Jr. was on a ventilator, but he soothed his wife, telling her he would be fine and that “it will just be a few days.”
Freddie Jr. had a kidney transplant in 2012, which may have compromised his immune system.
In three days, doctors said his lung collapsed. Before Sandy could get to the ICU, he passed away.
But Sandy was determined to get into the room to see her beloved.
“I’m going in that room,” she told the nurses. “I don’t care what I have to do. I’ll sign whatever I need to sign.”
The nurses put her in a mask, gloves, gown and glasses so that she could enter his room and properly say goodbye.
Just a day after his father past, Sandy’s son experienced coughs so extreme, she took him to the hospital.
Freddie III turned a corner, and he was expecting to come home. In the morning, Sandy rejoiced on social media about the progress of her son’s health.
But as Detroit News reports, that afternoon, the hospital called Sandy asking her to get to the hospital as soon as possible.
It was like the most tragic case of déjà vu.
“In three days, I lost my husband and son to an ugly plague,” Sandy told Detroit News. “I watched my son go from completely well and whole and happy to being gone in three days.”
The silver lining? Sandy is not reporting any signs of Covid19.
But she is saddened that she cannot properly grieve with her family or offer a proper funeral.
“It seems so unfair,” she said. “I can’t even give them a proper burial. I just have to put them into a box and put them into a hole.”
