Dr. Anthony Fauci is increasing his security after receiving death threats
As one of America’s voices of reason during this pandemic, it comes to a surprise for many that the immunologist would be on the receiving end of death threats.
The Health and Human Services Department contacted the U.S. Marshals Service to deploy increased security efforts, reported the Washington Post.
Dr. Fauci has garnered both praise and criticism during his media and press conference appearances.
His admirers, often call him the voice of reason and the source of facts during Trump’s irate press conferences.
Meanwhile, others share the hashtag #FauciFraud – criticizing Dr. Fauci for being “against Trump.” One Twitter user calling him a “corrupt little man.”
The hashtag was allegedly popularized by right-wing pundits, which has many wondering if it is Trump supporters who are the source of the death threats.
So, to recap, rightwing pundits like Tom Fitton, Bill Mitchell and Shiva Ayyadurai rail against Fauci and push the hashtag #FauciFraud and now people want to hurt him but it’s NOT the fault of Trump supporters? Please tell me how. In detail. Explain your thinking.

Officials did not confirm the exact source of the threat.
Dr. Fauci declined the answer questions about the threats during the most recent press conference, which prompted President Trump to interject, saying “He doesn’t need security. Everybody loves him.”
When speaking with Gayle King on CBS This Morning about the threat of danger, Dr. Fauci said it’s merely part of the job.
“This is the life I’ve chosen, and I’m doing it,” he said. “I mean, obviously there’s a lot of pressure. I would be foolish to deny that. But that’s what I do. I’ve been through crises like this before dating back, you know, 37 years from the very beginning of the HIV epidemic. It’s a job to do, and we’ve just got to do it.”
