A ‘jam-packed’ party held on the west side of Chicago was broken up on Saturday
A Facebook Live video shows dozens of people packed inside a room at a Chicago house party. The party allegedly took place on Chicago’s west side on the night of Saturday, April 25. Watch the live-streamed video below.
News of the party was reported by TMZ. New was eventually circulated to Twitter where one woman admitted she was “embarrassed to be from Chicago right now.”
Another woman on Twitter said: “Those attendees of that house party in Chicago are just as dumb as the people ingesting cleaning products.”
Mayor Lori Lightfoot tweeted about the incident and called it “reckless and utterly unacceptable.” Adding, “We will hold those responsible accountable.”
I have seen the video which shows what appears to be a house party taking place inside a Chicago residence.
What was depicted on the video was reckless and utterly unacceptable.

During his Sunday press conference, Gov. JB Pritzker said he’d watched the video and called the party dangerous and irresponsible.
“By doing that — by standing together, not social distancing, many people not wearing masks — you’re literally putting everyone around you in danger,” he said. “They are putting you in danger, [too]. And very importantly, all of those people are putting their families and their friends who are not there with them in danger.”
Chicago Sun-Times reports that there were no arrests or citations made the night of the party.
‘Drinking Disinfectant Doesn’t Cure Coronavirus!’ Calls Pour Into Hotlines After Trump’s Comments
Maryland Republican Gov. Larry Hogan revealed in an interview that his state has received “hundreds of calls” about whether they should ingest disinfectant after hearing President Donald Trump suggested they may be able to wipe the virus out “in a day.”
The governor said it’s imperative that Donald Trump “really get the facts out there” in a time of uncertainty, panic and stress.
“In these press conferences that we really get the facts out there, and unfortunately some of the messaging has not been great, the mixed messaging,” he told “Face the Nation.”
Just a few days ago, Trump was ridiculing Gov. Hogan for his critics about the federal response.

#TrumpIsALaughingStock is trending nationwide, and the whole world is laughing at him
Today, the President’s press conference ended much earlier than previous briefings. Many speculated that it was due to tremendous embarrassment as President Donald Trump had to field questions about his comments about using disinfectant to treat coronavirus.
#TrumpIsALaughingStock is the trending political topic on Twitter right now and artists and citizens alike have joined together to ridicule the President’s poor handling and advice of Donald Trump.

Journalist Yamiche Alcindor tweeted about the brevity of the press conference. Tweeting: “Wow. WH briefing is over. That was much shorter than usual. Today’s lasted 21 minutes. President Trump took no questions from reporters after officials spoke and after he’s been under pressure all day after his comments about injecting disinfectants and lights to cure COVID-19.”
Others tweeted their secondhand embarrassment – ashamed that they even have to call Donald Trump their President.
One woman reenacted Trump’s comments about disinfectant in a TikTok video:

The President later told The Washington Post he made his comments “sarcastically to reporters” to “see what would happen.”
He says he was being sarcastic, but then finishes off by saying there was a big study that the sun and heat can kill the virus in a minute…. and disinfectant.#TrumpIsALaughingStock pic.twitter.com/ySOPGFpa3R

People around the globe are also shaking their heads at the American President. A video shared online shows Australia’s Chief Medical Officer, Brendan Murphy fighting off some chuckles when asked about Trump’s comments.
“I would caution against the injection of disinfectant. It can be quite toxic to people,” said Murphy.
