Raise your hand if you give a damn about what Bob Johnson thinks. I haven’t heard so much as a peep out of this man since Trump came into office. When has he publicly stood up to Trump over the multitudes of misogynistic insults and racial comments over the past three and a half years?
So, what makes him think anyone gives damn about his opinion of Biden? I will decide if Biden owes me an apology, not Bob! Now, don’t get me wrong, Biden was getting way too comfortable with Black folks to make such a comment.
During a virtual interview on the Breakfast Club, Biden was asked whether he was doing enough to win the Black vote – inferring that he may be taking Black voters for granted, Biden replied.
“Well, I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t Black.”
Biden is now apologizing. Out of nowhere, here comes BET cofounder Robert L. Johnson speaking out.
According to Fox News, Johnson believes Biden should “apologize to every black person he meets.”
In his statement to Fox News, Johnson said Biden’s comments “represent the arrogant and out-of-touch attitude of a paternalistic white candidate” who believes he is entitled to the Black vote.
He continued: “He should spend the rest of his campaign apologizing to every Black person he meets.”
Biden apologized for the statement, admitting that he shouldn’t have been “such a wise guy.”
The Biden Campaign spokeswoman and media correspondent Symone Sanders defended Biden in a tweet as she reminded voters that Biden has been “fighting alongside and for the African American community.”
The comments made at the end of the Breakfast Club interview were in jest, but let’s be clear about what the VP was saying: he was making the distinction that he would put his record with the African American community up against Trump’s any day. Period.

Okay, that’s good enough for me, let’s move on! Why are all these negroes coming out the woodworks like Biden called his chauffer a n**ger! Calm the hell down!
This kind of overaction plays right into the hands of the Republicans. Was it a stupid comment? Yes? Was it arrogant? Maybe. Should Biden watch his mouth in the future when talking to and about black people? Hell yeah! But in the larger scheme of things, does it matter? Hell naw!
Now, let’s get back to focusing on protecting black, brown, and poor Americans from this damn virus, getting minority businesses the funds they need to stay in business and start organizing to get the true racist out of office.
I’m not going to allow Bob Johnson, or anyone else, distracted me! I’ve got one focus and one focus only, defeating Trump in November! Anything else at this point is a sideshow!
