Good morning, Family
Our Journey back to South Africa has begun! This time we’re executing our itinerary in reverse of our last trip. Our journey will begin in Johannesburg at the beautiful 5-Star Sandton Sun in Sandton! We had so much fun there last time!
From there we’ll explore the beautiful city of Joburg, take tours to learn the story of Mandela and the ANC, as well as visit the historic city of Soweto and visit the museum with our guides who grew up under the apartheid system.
We’ll enjoy dinner at local restaurants, shop at the beautiful mall connected to the hotel, and party and swim at the luxurious hotel pool. Then we head off to our Game/Safari drive in Pilanesberg.
Gene and Javonne will provide you with the details about the morning and nights Safaris as well as availability at the 5-Star Cascades Hotel in Sun City where most of us will be staying. It’s gorgeous there, like a miniature Las Vegas—with a ton of history.
Remember, the Safari was the first to sell out so don’t procrastinate. Then we’re off to the amazing city of Cape Town for the International Jazz Festival. This time we’re staying at the 5-Star Table Bay Hotel!

I’m so excited to be going back to Cape Town. It’s one of my favorite destinations in the world! See you there!
