Study Says Marijuana Could Be The Key To Having Great Sex? Share This With Everyone!
For states where marijuana is legal, this is for you.
There is new evidence (March 2019) out now that weed can increase the intensity of your orgasm according to a new study from the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
The study included 373 subjects (mostly white, heterosexual women) and collected information from their surveys which asked about their sex life, orgasms, sex drive, and lubrication level. The survey also included questions about their marijuana intake and if they partook in the drug prior to sex.
“Among those who reported using marijuana before sex, 68.5 percent stated that the overall sexual experience was more pleasurable, 60.6 percent noted an increase in sex drive, and 52.8 percent reported an increase in satisfying orgasms,” the authors of the report explained.
Also, researchers found when women used a little marijuana before intercourse that they had satisfactory orgasms two times the rate of non-users.
Becky Lynn, an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Louis University in Missouri explains, “I have seen it used in women with chronic pain disorders that lead to painful sex, women who experience difficulty with orgasm or an inability to orgasm, and women who use it to improve their libido, which may not match their partner’s libido.”
Lynn recently published a paper “The Relationship Between Marijuana Use Prior to Sex and Sexual Function in Women” which aim was to “evaluate women’s perceptions of the effect of marijuana use before sexual activity.”
“The question of how marijuana leads to these positive changes in sexual function is unknown. It has been postulated that it leads to improvement in sexual function simply by lowering stress and anxiety. It may slow the temporal perception of time and prolong the feelings of pleasurable sensations. It may lower sexual inhibitions and increase confidence and a willingness to experiment. Marijuana is also known to heighten sensations such as touch, smell, sight, taste, and hearing. Although this was not specifically addressed in this article, according to Halikas et al the regular female marijuana user reported a heightened sensation of touch and increased physical closeness when using marijuana before sex.” says the study.
There could be a dozen causes to why women have greater orgasms than others but being calm and relaxed definitely helps. So a little buzz before sex might help calm your nerves to bring you to a blissful orgasm. If you live in a state where marijuana is legal, try this out with a partner and see if it makes a difference! It could be a nice addition to your sex life to spice things up a little and switch up your regular bedroom routine. For those who live in states without legalized weed, you’ll just have to wait a couple more years or take a trip to Colorado.
