Is Trump A Narcissist? Are Trump Supporters A Cult? By Michael Baisden

Is Trump A Narcissist? Are Trump Supporters A Cult?

I used to think it was rude to call Trump supporters, a cult. For years, I tried to justify their behavior. Maybe they’re misunderstood. Maybe people are stereotyping them, I thought.

And maybe they’re justified in their disappointment with democrats and the government. I also use to believe they would wake up at some point and realize Donald Trump was not a successful businessman but a confident man. (Watch Dirty Money on Netflix) But that never happened!

Just in case you think I’m being extreme or rude by defining them as a cult, let’s define the term. A cult is a misplaced or excessive admiration for a particular person or thing.

A group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarding by others as strange or sinister. If that not an accurate description of the majority of Trump supporters I don’t know what is.

Why is there admiration misplaced? Because Trump has never exhibited an interest in anyone but himself and he certainly hasn’t demonstrated the capacity to care about the welfare of others.

For him, it’s all one big reality TV show where he is the star to be constantly catered to and agreed with and everyone else is a pawn to be manipulated. But is he a narcissist?

Narcissism is defined as extreme selfishness, with a grandiose view of one’s own talents and a craving for admiration. A grandiose sense of importance, a belief that one is special and unique, a preoccupation with unlimited success or perceived success, exploitative of others, a lack of empathy, arrogance, jealousy of others, an inflated sense of importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration.

Narcissism is also defined as a personality disorder. That describes Trump to a tee! And to anyone who is supporting this man I say, you are a part of the problem.

You are aiding and abetting his negligence and that negligence is costing lives. We can argue about how crooked democrats are. Personally, I’m not a fan of politicians, even President Obama made mistakes.

But Trump supporters are unique in that they see no fault in this man, in their eyes he is the solution to every problem, the man who understands their pain, and who can do no wrong. And that makes them just as dangerous and delusional as him.
