'Woman'

We are about to enter 2012, and for some, 2011 offered Joy, Tears, Laughter, Heartbreak and Sadness but we're still here. And to that, I say, to God be the glory.

My wish for all, is that 2012 will bring Joy, Peace, Financial Security, Jobs and Happiness.

My message to women of all ages, is that we would unit, standing together, uplifting each other, being the back bone for some, the sister to others, the teacher of wisdom to others but most of all, friends to all, not back stabbers, haters rather encourager. We all fall down and some need someone to help them back up, let that be you in 2012.

I want to leave this poem, titled: 'Woman' written by my friend 'Sandra Albritton, with you, enjoy.

Woman

Adult female person (Webster)
God made woman . He doesn't make any mistakes. He has something I n this world for YOU to do, and only YOU can do it.

Who knows woman better than woman -EXCEPT GOD. We know the issues woman face so let’s be considerate and there for each other. Let’s take care of one another.

She starts out a girl, cute, pretty and giggly.

She can be a mother, grandmother, daughter, a sister, an aunt, a niece, a cousin, wife or a friend.

Woman comes in all shapes and sizes, some are of their own making, and some are not.

When woman hurts, she cries. When she’s happy, she laughs. She feels things deeply, good or bad. Woman gives of herself not just from the head, but from the heart.

Mother
Life giver, life carrier.
There for you when you need her and even when you think you don’t
Provider, go between, taxi, cheerleader, motivational speaker,
encourager, comforter, friend. Most mothers put themselves last, and their families first.

Daughter
Daddy’s little girl. God’s child. Know who you are, then you won’t
allow others to treat you like who you are not.

Sister
Knows where you've come from, and maybe even where you’re going.
Instigator, annoyance (sometimes, but you wouldn't trade them for anything), guide, helper, friend, confidant.

Aunt
The other mother, the other sister, babysitter, financier, coach. They
love you as if you were their own.

Friend
Knows you, and is still your friend. Tells you what you need to hear and sometimes what you don’t want to hear. There’s no pretense, no competition no backstabbing or backbiting.

Wife
Companion, cook, housekeeper, help meet, lover. She stands by you
and with you.

Christian Sister
The whaling woman, the mourning woman. Someone who prayed for you, and with you. Thank you. Thank you for the sleep you gave up, and the meals you did without. Thank you for being where God wants you to be and where we need you to be.

Woman is multifaceted (daughter, friend, sister, aunt ,wife etc.), multitasks (work, cook, clean, and home schools, sometimes, all at the same time), multilingual (she knows baby talk, young adult talk and adult talk).

Woman keep on showing your emotions, keep on feeling and keep showing up.
We appreciate you in all your roles and all the “hats” you wear. If thank you are few and far between, know that we do thank you.
If you haven’t been told thank you today, THANK YOU! I thank you, your family thanks you, your church family thanks you and God thanks you.
