What to do when a coworkers eats your food?

I know that every job has the coworker who thinks nothing to eating your food, well THAT coworker ate my food the other day. I left a salad in the fridge Wednesday, I have Thursdays off, so I just assumed that the salad would be there when I came back on Friday. Much to my surprise(yeah right)the salad wasn't there when I got to work yesterday.
When the coworker came to work, at least they didn't deny eating my salad. She had the nerve to take the container home, but she left it there!!! The nerve!!! I doubt that I will ever see this container again, and even if I do, it will be empty. This coworker is the same person who used all of my Olive Oil to cook with, she didn't even ask; I use Olive oil on my salad. It didn't matter that I put my name on everything I put into the fridge.
Well I left some grapes in the fridge last night, but I had enough sense to write on the container Do Not Eat. I do believe that's the only reason they were still in the fridge when I got to work this morning. What should I do, say something, or just not leave anything in the fridge?

Let your coworker know how you feel about her eatting your food. If she care about the friend ship, she will stop. You could be dealing with someone who don't respect other people. In this case, when she leave food in the fridge, eat it and see how she feel about it. This may cause her to stop eatting other people food.

I say be perpared to bring lunch on Friday. I would use the crushed laxitives and sprinkle some hot red pepper on it before I leave home and dare someone to touch the food with your name on it come in Friday with you new lunch and believe me they will think twice about eating you lunch.

I would suggest that u approach her. Food is becoming more costly everyday (especially salads). She needs to understand that you come to work everyday to put food on your table, not hers and unless you give her permission, she shouldnt touch. Futhermore, she really needs to bring back your d*mn container!!! Those things are extra costly.

First off; CURSE HER ASS OUT!!!, then the next time you leave something in the fridge sprinkle a LOT of liquid laxitive on it. Then just wait and watch to see whose ASS blows up.
I had a guy eat a pint of ice cream I put into a fridge at work. Needless to say I only had to curse his ASS out 1 time.

Tell her how you feel, and the $$ amount that she owes you as a result of eating your food. This used to happen to me. The co-worker never denied it either, but I'd simply tell her how much she owed me for taking my things. She never questioned the amount, but would sometimes suggest to take me out to lunch or either bring food in for me.
