UConn Beats Stanford in the 2010 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship

· Last night, the UConn Women’s Basketball team beat Stanford, 53-47, for their 2nd
straight NCAA championship.

· This was also UConn’s 78th straight victory – they haven’t lost a game in
the past 2 years.

· UConn Player Maya Moore was chosen as MVP.

· The lowest scoring game in NCAA championship game history was played in front of a
crowd of 22,936 that included VP Joe Biden and former U.S. Secretary of State
Condoleezza Rice.
