It is depends on how you was raised and what you was exposed too...Even then it comes down to closed minded thinking... We are all racist in our own little way... It just up to the individual to put them thoughts to rest!

Just want to add my two cents... I am a New York Rican (born and raised in Brooklyn NY, parents from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico), so I can only speak from that perspective. And what I have experienced living in VA the past few years is very different from my experiences growing up in NYC.

Do Latinos have issues with Blacks? From my personal experience, my family is very open and accepting of ALL people, none of us have a problem with Black folks, as a matter of fact, many of us have mixed children. Most Puerto Ricans under the age of 50 don't have any problems at all with Black folks, but some of the older folks have all sorts of misconceptions, stereotypes and prejudices about people with dark skin of ALL nationalities.
Now, Latinos that are new to this country are very prejudice toward Blacks, they really hold on to all sorts of stereotypes and are very ignorant of the cultural similarities between us.

Are Latino men more possessive and controlling? Not any more than Black men, White men, Asian men, etc., etc...

Are Latino families prejudice against blacks? For the most part Puerto Ricans are not, although we have ignorant folks in our culture too, that don't like anybody that's not Puerto Rican, but generally they are folks over the age of 50.
Are other Latinos prejudice against Black folks? Unfortunately YES. Too many newly arrived to this country are prejudice, because they have not been around Black Americans long enough to get to know them and overcome the stereotypes perpetuated by the media, film and music videos.

Are Latino men attracted to black women? Again speaking from a NY Rican perspective , I say yes, Puerto Rican men are just as attracted to Black women as much as they are to Latinas, however it is not as common amongst other Latinos.

Are Latina women more fiesty and quick to fight their man? Yes we are fiesty... but not any more than Black women, White women, Asian women, etc., etc...

Do Latinos have issues with Blacks? Yes

Are Latino men more possessive and controlling? Men of all culture are controlling and possesive but Latino men have this machismo characteristic that is scary at times and personally I prefer not to deal with it.

Are Latino families prejudice against blacks? YES, YES, YES Let me say from a Latino who's skin color is Black and is often presummed by others to be Black I have a lot of stories to tell but the truth is that Latino do frown upon blacks here in the US and even in their native Latin countries, can you believe the nonsense that we are even racist against each other, the lighter ones acting as if they are better than the dark skin Latinos. How many times have I heard Latinos speaking in Spanish about some one who was Black just because of their skin inspite of the fact that Whites see us all as minority and at times inferior to them. I can on and on but I think you get the point.

Are Latino men attracted to black women? Yes they are.

Are Latina women more fiesty and quick to fight their man? No, I think it all has to do with how you were raised and the enviroment you've been exposed to.

Hey , Just addin my two cents ! I've been in a relationship with a latino man for 16 years now and I m despirately tryin to end it . I dont judge a race of people on the actions of one , but it seems that the stereotypes that ive heard mentioned about latin men being possesive ,jealous, controlling, ect. si also try in my situation. To me it is not a sterotype it is WHAT I LIVE . I just recently decided enough is enough ,and i am now taking back conrol of my life. I DONT THINK IT IS ONLY A LATIN PROBLEM. I think it is an insecure problem but that would put us on another subject.

I am married to a latino and I think everyone is different. When I worked in Miami my dark skinned latina co-worker said that another co-worker was prejudice and I responded he is from Cuba just like you. She let me know that did not matter and their is racism among some black hispanics and fair skinned hispanics just like blacks and whites in the U.S.

Some uneducated wanna-be-white latinos have a issue with black people and those are the ones you need to stay clear from. Self's a B****!
