Without a doubt, a few of my greatest lessons in life:
1. Scores of people say they gotcha back, yet when push comes to shove too many become MIA -- don't co-sign until ya check the stats...
2. Folks want great success but scared to do the heavy lifting -- the day the cake is cooked they want a slice like they had been helping in the kitchen...be prudent with whom you break bread
3. Many of us holla for justice but will accept far less if we can eke out a bit of living -- I got mine, you get yours
4. Always check under the hood to see what u are really getting -- some folk talk so good they can convince u that it will snow in July
5. True friends are very, very rare -- so cherish the ones ya got they are truly your blessings

Comment by benjamin on May 1, 2012 at 1:34pm @ebonytruthteller...good points as well, it's weird that the above represents my experiences but I am far from being a cynic. Paradoxical, some my say, but maybe because I do cherish my true friends (and family) as a great blessing it keeps me from becoming cynical...
Comment by ebonytruthteller on April 30, 2012 at 3:54pm Ben..well said and inspiring in thought, this has been my personal experience as well, and it has taken me a separate journey to arriving here where i am today ..NOT CYNICAL, not expecting the worst in everyone to manifest foremost, and eternally hopeful and encouraged that this state of arffairs is not what eternity has in store for those who graduate .............!
