Critisizm has two parts ; contructive and destructive. Constructive criticism is like when you are doing a job for your boss and you complete it. He walks around and critics it and shows you what areas are fine and those areas you have to do over. When he talks to you its in a positive and respectful manner not loud and out of control. You learn from the critic and move on. Destructive criticism is vague, inappropriate,no clear target , problems but no solutions, did 0 research, and constantly nagging. This kind of behavior will cause the person to not only not do the job correctly but it will damage their self-esteem.
Personally I'm very hard on myself when it comes to my music, and the website that I currently operate. Why ? cause everything that I do I want to give my 120% effort . Did I play the right note ? Did I play the song too slow or too fast. Little things like that I'm very critical of cause poor performance affects the service.
ITS ALL IN HOW YOU SAY IT
When you give criticism its all about how you say it. Again, you can say the wrong thing and it can have a negative effect on the person that you are trying to encourage to do a better job.A person will never rise to their protential if they are always being emotionally brought down.Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.(Eph 4:29)
ITS ALL IN WHAT YOU SAY
Life and death is in the power of the tongue Proverbs 18:21 . When you critize or critic a person do it in love. I have personally had experiences where people in church walked up to me and said ," you need to leave this to the pastor" I got upset because of how she approached me and what she said to me. Sometimes its best to keep you thoughts to yourself and your mouth closed . When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tougue is wise.Proverbs 10:19. There is ways to critize a person positively without mentally hurting the persons self-esteem
-go to them one on one
-speak on that issue
- direct them on how to do a better job
When we critize others (positive or negative) take a moment to think...would I want to be spoken to in that way? Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.(MATTHEW 7:12 .
