Attractive, Employed, and Heterosexual Men: Why are they single?
The suave man you watched from across the aisle at the grocery store as he picked up fruits, veggies, a couple steaks, some chicken and ooh a little wine to wash it all down, got your attention. And when you two again met in the parking lot because your cars were parked next to each other, you admired his brand new drop top BMW. A very intellectual conversation was struck up and you found out he was an attorney, single and wanted your number. Since he had made a move you got the feeling he was more than likely heterosexual. So as you drove home you begin to wonder with all that going on, what’s wrong with him? Why is he single?
What’s your thought’s on why an attractive, employed and heterosexual man would be single?
He looks great on paper; do you really need to look any further before going out on a date with him these days; like a background check?

In a recent panel discussion, I heard a Black actor say that men hear too many negative things about marriage. Of course, the happily married men are not saying anything, but the unhappy ones are very vocal about it. Also, men generally don't have the same "urgency" as women do regarding getting married. They can date for years and be happy with that.

Attractive, employed and heterosexual men are single because they have no reason to marry. Women enter into relationship with these men without expecting commitment from them. Even if they want children, they can inpregnate a woman, and pay her to raise the child, without them having to truly deal with the day to day challenges of parenthood. They get to exercise their parenthood at will, no as required. Therefore, a man ends up having the best of both worlds, batchelorhood and a woman/women to fulfill his other heads. Men do not inherently have nesting skills, it is a taught, usually by the women they are prepared to be committed to.

Blackmen, if you are sincer and honest. Stable and productive. Here are some places where you can find the most adorable self asured and substainial beautiful black African women. Ghana, Nigeria, Ethiopia, SENEGAL ... (whoop whoop), Uganda, Mali just to name a few. I find the women in their twenties have a mid 30's or 40 ish mentality of a States Gal. Why continue to punish yourselves by engaging in the drama and entertaining conversations like this one?

It's not that easy finding the right person at the right time. Many are not relationship minded. Usually some drama is going on. Maybe being too quick to look for flaws. I know I won't give up. I think settling down is best. Being in search mode is just played out.
