Can You Handle The Truth?
“Americans don’t want to know that their founding fathers were slave-owning wealthy businessmen who only broke away from England in order to set up their own scam based on British style piracy. Don’t attempt to tell them that Thomas Jefferson not only owned slaves but was top stud on his own slave breeding farm. Don’t tell them that Abe Lincoln had absolutely no interest in freeing the slaves…that The… Continue

A lot of times when a race issue comes up then it is really the media creating the controversy. I know of people from all races that have supported the black community and it's families in the Trayvon Martin case, Marissa Alexander case, Michael Elder case and Michael Dunn's killing based off Stand your Ground laws and Police Brutality. The media has not pointed out that much about race relations from a larger population do not reflect their sample that they want to… Continue

I sincerely believe that you have selected this literature because you are searching for answers. Perhaps answers that you have been looking for most of your life. I believe that although many Black people are now conditioned to perceive themselves as being their own worst enemy that you however feel differently. You’re not merely echoing the commonly heard rhetoric of the angry militant or the peddling of victim-hood; you are also not wrongly blaming hard working class… Continue

It was good to hear President Obama take time out his schedule to talk to Tom Joyner and the TJMS this week. It was interesting to see how most of the main stream media news outlets (ABC, CBS, NBC, the cable networks, etc.) picked up the “polite” comment by the President and presented it to their viewers, listeners, and readers. What is ironic is that probably 90% of that main stream audience had no clue who Tom Joyner is, nor what the TJMS is. And not just White people, but Black people… Continue

Damn! Is Kim Kardashian the most hated woman in the U.S.? Continue
Okay, so Kimmie gained a little attention first because of her good looks, that booty and being Paris Hilton's sidekick. Then she became infamous because of a sex tape she did with then-boyfriend R&B singer and Brandy's little brother Ray J. Next came her hit reality show, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" that made her a household name and brought about more exposure, opportunities and the creation of Kim Inc., where…

It's Just a Thought Thursday!
It's crazy how some of us live under a microscope be it by our boyfriends/husbands, girlfriends/wives, family, friends and of course...media. Your every move is monitored, your words dissected, your actions or lack thereof analyzed, your privacy invaded. Every day its a struggle to maintain any normalcy or to be or do you, because you're constantly on high alert...hesitant to call, text, email or go outside… Continue

In my study of BET, Centric and TV-One - I see more negativity being pumped into the minds of it's viewers than needed.
I have found out, that in life, the more positive things you intake into your mind and life - the more productive you will be to yourself and to society as a person.
I have also noticed that NO black owned media has a place for blacks to go and LEARN about their heritage in America and Abroad.
I would think there would be… Continue

Can we truly advise someone, when we have not walked in their shoes? Continue
Recently I overheard a woman tell someone, "How can you tell me what to do when you know
nothing of what I speak?" Oftentimes we think we see a situation better than the person directly
involved. And even though we may think we offer a clearer view, can we really give the proper advice especially
when our opinions are influenced by our upbringing,…

Got my books Wednesday. We're a close circle here, I think I can reveal to you my plan. I've friended Anqunette Jamison at Fox 2 and a few months back I asked if they do interviews there for authors. Q interviewed a psychic about her book, I figured, why not me? And especially with October being right around the corner. Yes, this is going in the mail today along with a copy of my Media Kit.

You know, it started as us just talking. We had the music in common. It became a glue that we looked forward to daily talking about. We felt a
need to share these conversations with more people and out of that
spawned YYY. For us, by us, and everyone else.
We established yesyesyall with an intent to promote and push the artist first and foremost. We want to help support them and you in the best
way possible and if…

Ah Me, Ah Men
You would most assuredly have to be extremely sensory challenged not to have been privy to the Tiger Woods story and no doubt you immediately formed an opinion about why men cheat or if you are a woman even fantasized about ripping off his despicable male organ and feeding it to him. Woods’ dénouement once again blew the lid off an old Pandora’s Box and your fury was fueled by a litany of blow by blow speculative follow-up stories in the mainstream media which includes every… Continue

Many who are familiar with Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs will appreciate my application of his theory of personality and human needs to social media. At a basic survival level are Presence needs and at the self-actualized end of the hierarchy are social optimization needs where a fully functioning social media user is effectively coordinating his or her social media presence toward achieving a larger networking vision.
Blog, Website, Social Network… Continue

Words are tools used to live life. Everyday the world enjoys things that were developed from words. Whether spoken, written, song, printed, or any other form possible, we can’t live without words. This blog is dedicated to words in any form, with an emphasis on Urban Wordfare.
As I listen to one of Wu Tang’s greats, Ghostface, aka Tony Stark’s, “Ghostdini’s” soulful tracks plays like an oldschool blaxploitation movie inside my head. I think to myself, What’s the first black movie I… Continue

The present despairing state of Black America is neither a baffling phenomenon, nor the result of some innate racial deficiency among Blacks; but rather instead the result of a more sophisticatedly evolved racist system that is commonly used against Black populations as a means for maintaining white dominance and control. And although this method is less blatant than those earlier racist systems used in the past against Blacks, its affects are detrimentally real. In fact it is by far the most… Continue

The unprecedented profound feelings of internalize self hatred and self contemptuous attitudes presently among so many African Americans is not a natural occurrence resulting from a white dominant society upon the Black psyche. Nor is it even some unknown phenomenon void of a rational explanation. It is the result of a deliberately deplored modern method of suppression and control. A mass manipulative system used for maintaining the current statuesque. It has remained America’s best kept secret… Continue

The NFL's set to kickoff. New season starts soon. The headliners? Tim McGraw and Black Eyed Peas. Oprah also good to go. Season premiere to feature Whitney Houston. Who's got a comeback album. That's sure to be a hit. Houston keeps on keeping on. And chasing her dream. What might she say?
Just have to follow the money. Hold up! Thought the love of money's the root of evil? Yup. But following the money is not. Job seekers have a salary in mind. Businesses see cash flow as lifeblood.… Continue

What profit a man to gain the world and to lose his soul?
Come on everybody, enough already it is time to face reality. Michael Jackson was a human being with special gifts and talents. What he did with them was his choice. He chose to share his life with a world that could only promise money and worship.
So what was the price? Obviously, it was his life. My question is was it worth it? The world was entertained by a genius that maxed… Continue

FACE IT, MAGIC TUMBLED THE LEBRON/CAVS
I've never seen more people flip on how good they thought a team is than the way the people are now. "Cavs advance as far as they could?" "LeBron needs more help around him?" Seriously, is that why 99% of the so-called NBA experts picked the Cavs to win when the series started? Is that why after Lebron's miracle three pointer the same experts felt more confident that the Cavs would… Continue
