I, looked at the picture yahoo posted and read as much as I could stand about how everyone wanting to know what happened. I, don't think it is anyones business what happened myself. Others may have a different opponion about that. You know the haters are out there just waiting until the slightest little inkling of trouble crosses a persons path and they (those haters pounce on them with both…

Attn: Parents, Guardians, Community leaders and Students….
I am asking every member of this community who has children, or if you are a student to participate in this initiative. As we grow closer to state exams and finals, I am challenging every student to go without watching television, playing video games and cell phones for non-emergency purposes for one week. During that week, every student’s focus will be on studying and…

If our president would agree to this then we want have to worry about this war. If they would go into the prison and get those on death row and use them to go into the area were they feel OBL is at and grant them some kind of lessor prison time then I bet you they will bring that brother out dead or alive. now this will help if he would try it these prisoners don't have nothing to lose but everything to gain.

Ask most single African American women today to describe her Ideal mate and you would be shocked and baffled at the answers you get. African American women have become so superficial and unrealistic in their expectations when it comes to men (black men in particular), that they run men away. Not every man will be 6ft 5' drive a Mercedes, look like Denzel, have the body of LL and more money than Bill Gates...and...write you poetry, run your bath water, spoil you like Kenneth "Baby Face"…

It's Ok to...
...have a b*@ch moment. Don't keep things bottled up. Stress not only weakens your body, mind & spirit, but it also speeds up the aging process. So say what you got to say to the intended or invite some friends over for drinks and a b*@ch fest. Then, keep it moving!
...take the ham left over from Thanksgiving dinner and make Ham Fried Rice. It's simple. Just prepare rice as you normally would. Then put into skillet with butter or olive oil, onions,…

First, this Rihanna & Chris Brown thing is a bit tired. I'm sure many of you have heard about ABC canceling Chris's performance only allowing him to be interviewed about...what else...that altercation last February with Rihanna! When will people let this go and let these two kids move on?! Let me just say this! Yes, they had a nasty argument - one of several I may add. Yes, he hit her. Yes, he was wrong! But hold on! She did things too, including hitting him on a previous occasion according…

10 Annoying Phrases That Serve No Purpose
10. It is what it is
This newcomer is the epitome of an ear-grating phrase that means nothing.
9. It's all good
The inclusion of "all" only accentuates how much you don't mean what you are saying.
8. To be honest
Not only is this phrase usually followed by something best left unsaid, but it also implies everything else you say is dishonest.
7. No offense
A phrase even more insincere…

Forget Tomorrow?
A note to you, the reader:
Although the following poem mentions nasty habits like drugs, alcohol etc. it merely scratches the surface.
The death's devices mentioned herein are also meant to include the entire spectrum of filthy, degrading and demoralizing addictions which include amongst other things, the pornography, violence, vulgarity and profanity that is being sold prolifically on today's market. So please do not omit these as you read and consider the…

I am a person who loves to view the clouds to see what master pieces that has been drawn across the skies. One morning just a little before daybreak, I witnessed one of the most awesome views imagined, An Angel In The Sky. There was not a bit of disarray anywhere. The angel was on bended knees, hands folded in pray with head bowed. The angel had a halo and the wings was huge. Then in that moment and time, a small inter voice reminded me that even as we sleep, God sends his angels to watch over…

"Great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance." --Samuel Johnson
I never panic, I always think positive. There must be a way out, and when I find it, I will work towards it. I can’t be afraid to fail, on to the next one. My struggles, and my pain are going to make me great. Embrace it, because everything happens for a reason and what don’t kill you makes you stronger. Stop thinking about hitting the lottery, stop waiting for other people to do things for you,…

My mother turned eighty this month. She is amazing. She has always been avid about crosswords and wordsearches. Turns out that type of activity helps to keep the mind sharp as you get older. Her mind is like a steel trap. She still lives alone and she manages her house well. She has great supervisory skills. What she can't manage herself, she knows who to call to do it for her. She is fierce. We worked together on our Thanksgiving dinner. We are the only ones in Birmingham who get along well…

Tiger Woods broke his silence about his SUV accident on Friday that landed him in the hospital, calling it "a private matter.”
He backed out of an interview with investigators for a third straight day and his lawyer indicated that he would never talk to police. Woods pulled out of his driveway about 2:25 a.m. Friday in a 2009 Cadillac SUV and struck a fire hydrant, then a tree. Authorities don't have details on why Woods was driving…

Correct me if Im wrong here: Wasn't there a secret service agent that said he doubted if the agency would protect President Obama as agressively as they have "other" presidents in the past? Why is the WHITE couple that crashed the White House party and getting to the President, still walking around free and trying to sell their interview to the highest bidder? Also, I didnt know you could tell the Secret Service your not available for them to interview?

Exercise is Medicine
I am trying to figure out a way to get folks to understand why physicians are serious when they prescribe exercise as a form of medication. I find it very discouraging when I spend so much time explaining the importance of exercise to a newly diagnosed diabetic only to find out later that everything I said was ignored. It goes to show that changing one life style to live is not easy. This often happens with folks who claim they want to lose weight, but do…

So, the end of the year is upon us already. Traditionally we make resolutions for the new year. I have started thinking about mine already. I had an "interesting" year full of new adventures. Some of them redefined my self-perception. My self-esteem is something I have always struggled with. I made quite a few breakthroughs on that front. I learned that I can change anything in my life if I so choose. I am thinking ahead for the new year and I want to achieve some things I have been carrying…
