Why does everyone act like racism doesn't exist?

I must say, that I am so appalled that so many people are surprised when small children get kicked out of a pool because of the color of their skin or when a Harvard scholar is arrested for going into his own home. Maybe because I am a court reporter I'm never surprised at such things, because I see it all. I mean all. I see the degredation of the black man, Just like Chris Rock said, wherever he goes he looks for racism because it's there and believe me it is.

As a court reporter, I… Continue

A PLACE AT THE "KING'S" TABLE

In the picture depicting the "LAST SUPPER", the focus was not on the actual, tastable, edib,e palatable cuisine or fare for that evening's meal, but it was rather on the "Meal" that we all would one day have to partake of in Christian fellowship, and in remembrance of Him who endured and conquered Calvary's cross, and became the Propitiation of our sins! The actual food on the table was very sparse, a few scraps of bread and cups, that were not likely holding "kool-aid"! Have you ever stopped… Continue

Where does importance come from?

I was watching "The Real housewives of Atlanta" last night. I anticipated this season premiere for a month because it it my ultimate guilty pleasure. These ladies turn up the heat for the camera and don't slow down. Last night did not disappoint me. I watched in amazement as one of the characters named Sheree explain that her ex-husband (a former NFL player)… Continue

Open Heavens

OPEN HEAVENS BRING GOD’S KINGDOM TO EARTH

Then, as heaven manifests in the natural realm, both the rule and the reign of Jesus Christ will be known in the earth. “Let God be glorified!” Yet, don’t miss this: The key to bringing that manifestation to earth is an open heaven—a portal through which the kingdom of God invades the earth!

Perhaps one of the best biblical examples to illustrate this kingdom invasion is when the heavens opened over Jesus while He was baptized (by John… Continue

Quantum Faith - By Annette Capps

QUANTUM FAITH

Several years ago, my father gave a prophecy that said in effect, Some things which have required faith to believe will no longer require faith, for it will be proven to be scientific fact.

In 1972, I first heard the teaching on faith and confession. It took faith in God’s Word to believe that you can have what you say. I had never heard such a concept and had it not been for the fact that the principle was plainly written in the Bible, I would have… Continue

Beer and the Healthcare Scare!

Beer and vodka don't mix. Oh yea? Tell that to the President. Obama had beers with the bad boys of Boston. He's hoping to cool things off. Intermission or Finale? Meanwhile, back at the ranch he's keeping the heat on. With healthcare reform. Healthcare on the rocks? Some would like to think.

Congress heads off on its August recess. So why the scare in healthcare? 46 million uninsured. Costs rising faster than hot air. Maybe Obama knows about the MIT Study. New leaders have a fixed… Continue

NY woman pours boiling water on cheating husband's crotch!

• Enraged at being two-timed by her husband of 20 yrs., a Queens woman poured boiling water on his groin as he slept Monday.

• The woman, 67, a registered nurse, carried out the crotch-scalding attack to ensure her spouse stopped cheating.

• The painful wakeup call left her husband, also a nurse, screaming in their bedroom.

• She immediately regretted the assault and called 911.

• Her husband, 67, suffered… Continue

"Honoring" our different perspectives that are based on experiences

"Many folks" are busy ridiculing & joking about what the "FOX" "WHITE WING" conservatives called the presidential "BEER FEST" I refer to them in this manor due to Hannity, Linbaugh, Beck & the likes using this as a means to pour gasoline on a potential fire there negative converage demonstrates how they seek to divide us (people), rather than join us together 4 better understanding! I commend our president & if "WE" fellow "HU-MAN" beings follow his lead it can really be a teachable… Continue

A Sheltering Tree"

A Sheltering Tree"

The poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge once described friendship as "a sheltering tree."

What a beautiful description of that special relationship. As i read those words,

I think of my friends as great leafy trees, who spread themselves over me, providing

shade from the sun, whose presence is a stand against the blast of winter's wind of

loneliness. A great, Sheltering tree; that's a friend.

There is a friend who sticks closer than a… Continue

Racist Cambridge cop.............

I hope I was not the only one listening at the news conference that the cop gave after having his so called "beer and a chat"with the president and the professor, well if this was not a real suttle comment and I quote "maybe we can have some KOOL-AID and /or ICE TEA the next time.

What makes anyone think that white fool is having Kool-AID outside of his home and why would he insert that comment in his comments after the meeting on nationwide tv? This was on HLN, Cnn, and all the stations… Continue

Ooops, my bad, computer illiterate dumby!!

So I just commented on my own blog. Hello, DUH! I'm just learning all this computer jazz, and to make things worse, I'm teaching myself. Talk about the blind leading the blind. We didn't have a computer with the internet growing up. Things were a little tight back then, and really haven't gotten a whole lot better. BUT, they will. That is why I'm going to school. And one day my kids will have everything I didn't (within reason). Love my kids, but I… Continue
