First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit

First Time Homebuyer Tax Credit is a loan from the IRS to first time home owners who purchased their home after April 9, 2008 through July 1, 2009. Homebuyers can buy a house and claim it on their 2008 or 2009 tax return a tax credit of 10 % of the purchase price of the house, but cannot exceed $7,500 for qualified house purchase.
