I work as a full time missionary with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Orlando Florida. My role with them is in recruitment and the mobilization department in creating an awareness for more AFAM's (African Americans) to get more involved in cross cultural global missions with Bible translation.

There are over 3,200 people groups in the world that mainly are people of color who still have no scripture in their heart language of understanding, representing over 200 million people in the unreached and unevangelized world.

African Americans are the least represented on the Global mission fields where the remaining minority language groups are without any scripture in their heart language. We believe the AFAM body of believers have a powerful mantle and calling to engage the global harvest to bring hope, deliverance and the free gift of salvation to a lost and dying world.

"I'M THE MOTHER AND THE FATHER!!" Can a mother be a father?

I've been lately pondering why so many single black women with children who continue to say, "I'm the Mother and the Father". Can a mother be a father? Or are they just good mothers? And is that enough.... What do they mean when they say this mantra?? What are they really saying....

It should be a natural process but there are some women as well as men who just want to know more. It is a beautiful thing to have a woman want to do everything she can to make sure her husband is pleased emotionally, mentally, spiritually as well as physically and sexually. Take care.

My Dear Brotha, I am impressed with your thoughts about returning to Africa. I am also interested in repatriation but not under any government or religion.

Thank you SeedofAbraham for your comments. It is not an easy thing to create an industry nowdays and we need new industries, holidays and festivals to spring up in our communities for several reasons. The number one reason is to help save our youth from joblessness and hopelessness. We do not know each other so I can not just assume that you don't give to charactable causes. But what I do know is that we as a people are somehow too critical on each other without walking in that person's shoes. I am not so much defending Tyler Perry nor apposing you as I am pushing for economic developement to come to my community via the Tyler Perry Studios as a base. If we are going to point the finger at folk, we wouldn't have anybody left including ourselves who are spotless. Let's work with what The Creator has blessed us with and move forward to help secure our future. Renaming this particular street Tyler Perry Parkway is a starting point to help build a positive movie and entertainment industry right within our own neighborhood. The vision is for those who see and know how to transend and leverage.
