Originally from San Francisco, California, now based in Atlanta for over 30 years,
I enjoy creating the “art” of black and white photography. I am an award-winning former military photojournalist and documentary photographer who traveled North Africa, Central and South America documenting the activities of American soldiers during peacetime.
After earning my Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in radio and television production and journalism from San Francisco State University, and 20 years in corporate America, I chose to follow my passion for the visual arts and earned a Master of Fine Arts with a concentration in photography and digital imaging in 2004 at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
I currently work as an independent commercial photographer based in Atlanta, served as a Board Member for Atlanta Celebrates Photography, consult with marketing and public relations professionals on marketing and promotional imagery, and create images for publications, businesses, organizations, and universities nationally while continuing to produce a body of fine art photography.
“Photography is one form of universal communication. What you see as finished work is the culmination of every facet of your thoughts and experience focused on a window of stimulating opportunity. I am just the conduit for your vicarious experience with my vision. Simply stated, my work should be viewed and bring about an internal reaction – be it negative or positive.”
