Need Your Prayers

Dear Friends,

It has been a while since I've written. Been very busy but haven't forgotten all of you. I'm asking for prayers tonight for my 10 year-old cousin and her siblings, whose mother was murdered this afternoon. Their mom was beatened to death in her home. We're all in shock and in horror and grief that a beautiful young woman was suddenly taken away from her children. As I held my little cousin in my arms, she cried, "I want my mommy cousin Cheryl, I want my mommy." I just… Continue

Thank God for the United States Social Security Administration in Washington, DC

Dear beautiful friends,

God is so good. Our last conversation, I was told by the Henderson, NC Social Security Office that due to me not asking their office permission to take care of my 4 year-old grandson, Matthew, and using his funds to take care of his daily living needs (food, shelter, clothing, etc.) that he would lose his SSI funding. I felt lost and didn't know at first what else I could do to assist Matthew in continuing to receive monies needed for his care. Then something… Continue

Henderson, NC Social Security Office STINKS!

Dear friends,

My life seems to have gone from worse to just plain terrible. I'm rep-payee for my 4 year-old grandson Matthew. Matthew was born with a Speech Impairment due to his mother being a substance abuser. My daughter abandoned Matthew and I am his guardian. Matthew didnot ask to be born into a bad situation with a drugged up mother and just recently found his biological father, who was just released from a Drug Rehabilitation Program. Poor Matt, he just got the bad end of a… Continue

I Found Out How Blessed I Am!

Dear Friends,

Previously I mentioned how sad I'd felt about my life and the ways things seemed to not be going as well as I'd expected them too. After reading the beautiful comments from Miss Alt, I came to realize she was right about not worrying about what I don't have but rather be thankful what I do have. I teach piano which is something I truly love.I have two students, elderly students who are so eager to learn to play piano. After my class, one student asked me if she could say…

Hooray!! I got Skype!

Dear friends,
I had a great birthday. My sister and her fiancee upgraded my computer and now I have Skype. Still learning how to use it but if any of you have Skype, give me a shout out. We can work through it together. Hope all of you have a blessed and happy weekend. Cheryl

Sister. It has been awhile since I abandoned MC, tired of the pedestrian nature of what it has become. Nevertheless, I was surfing and happened upon your latest message and had to convely my deepest condolences to you on this recent tragedy. There is a book "On Death and Dying" by Elizabeth Kubler Ross ( you might be able to get from the library) that may help you deal with the bereavement you are experiencing. Prayers go out to you. Peace

I am not familiar with the child protection processes where you live, but in NYC your stability would be in your favor. Hopefully, the courts would see that you provide the best chances for your grandson to achieve some semblence of normalcy I will offer my prayers for your succes and am hopefull that your stability will win out.

My Sister: Glad to hear that you were able to make your voice known through your vote, for whatever reason. We have to believe that it is out duty to support Mr. Obama because, we more than anyone, understand the attacks against him are racist in nature. The hyenas continue to surround him and will never relent. They hate him with a passion for no other reason than he is Black, no matter how they try to spin it with verbiage. At the end of the day we have to be able to say to ourselves that I was impeccable with my word and I did my best, no matter the outcome. In an aside, I am hopeful that the issue with your grandson has been resolved favorably. Peace

Yeah, kids are great, they have no preconceptions about stuff, haven't been jaded by the world or other people who are not so easy to be around, they're sweet, and man they're cute!
I will be looking for your books Cheryl. Thank you for your friendship!
Love and Peace,
Cheryl

I've been working in a preschool, (15 month to 2 year olds, in my Church 7 years now.) They gave me this for Teacher Appreciation a couple of years ago.
Yeah, getting ready to leave work one day, and one of the lady's said, "Oh Cheryl, the kid's made something for you!"
Looked over, and saw a cement block, (now, let me explain new friend,) I'm 50 year's old now, at the time, I was 47 or so, oh my, not easy to tote a cement block nowadays. LOL, (well sorta.) :>i
