Myspace Band Player Generator Hi, my name is Alvin Rhodes. I am a Fire Engineer for the City of Gastonia Fire Department and an aspiring R&B singer from Kings Mountain, NC. For the better part of my life, I was a drummer and back up singer, but always had a passion for singing. I began singing at weddings and other social events. Singing in front of an audience was so exciting and through that opportunity I gained the confidence necessary to push me to the next level. Along with confidence, I was blessed with the encouragement of my family and friends to go after my dreams. These are the moments that led me to the path I had always longed to take and led to the creation of my first album Misty for You. The album was completed and released in December of 2007. I am very blessed, excited, and proud of this album. It was a lot of hard work and very fulfilling to me. As I said, I am very excited and proud of this album. The reason I picked the title Misty for You as the title was because this is a song that really captures the essence of the entire album. R&B and Soul has always been my first musical love. Now I get to experience that feeling on a continuous basis, both in and out of the living room. I would first like to thank God for my life and the musical talent He has giving me. I have been blessed with people who work hard everyday to support my music. These songs are about love, caring, and compassion that could happen to anyone on any giving day. I hope you are picking up what I am laying down to keep R&B alive.
