Men, how do you guys feel about a woman having natural hair? I love mine, but I have been told that it wasn't attractive to some men because it makes a woman look less of a woman. My friends called me crazy when I cut my shoulder length hair off. I feel more empowered with it natural. Perhaps some men pick up on this in some women.

My dad could not stand braids in the hair when we were growing up- especially if you put the fake hair in it- just drove him crazy.

Has anyone watched Chris Rock's "Good Hair"?  If not, I recommend you do.  I found it to be very informative, especially when they discussed the chemicals we use to straighten our hair and the amount some women pay for weaves.  Oh my.  I swear I went in the wrong business.

@ Ke-Ke

I did watch the movie- very enlightening

Honey yes. It broke my heart when little babies were getting relaxers.

I prefer "natural" hair on a woman. If a woman perms or relaxes her own  hair, thats okay with me. But some women go get their hair done & almost sleep with their heads out of the bed at night for fear they might mess-up their hairdo.

I don't want to see a woman at lunchtime with hair barely to her shoulders, then later-on she has hair down to her waist.

I don't see nothing wrong with women wearing wigs, but some women go overboard on their wigs like wearing red or blue wigs. I've seen both & just thought this is not my type of woman.

I guess a woman wears her hair the way she prefers.

I realized that I was causing more damage than good to my hair by relaxing it all the time. I realized that my hair in it's natural state, is very nice and very curly. I don't feel weighed down with how society thinks I should look. I just look the way I look and love it.

Everyone seems to have their own definition of "natural" hair- my hair is natural in the sense that I do not have perms/chemicals in my hair but my hair( as you can see by my picture) is not in locs/twisties or an afro etc what I call "natural" hairstyles.

IMO, the majority of men don't care as long as it looks nice. I've been told that men like long hair they can play in. It is about preferences. Don't be some basic chick out here worried about what others have to say about your coif. Rock what makes you feel good and be confident. There are millions of men out here and I'm quite sure many of them will find your hair beautiful.
