So I'm talking to my peeps and we talking about kids and marriage and life and finances and food and whatever]

But the convo about kids...
I'm over 35 with no kids. One of my best friends is 27 and has a son who's 8 ... So at 37.. he'll be getting out of the house....

I was like... man umma feel so old being 47 with a 10 year old. but really, that's how many folks did it back in the day... were 30 something having kids...

Deep down, I feel that most folks who had their kids early on... (21 or younger) would want to wait until they were older and in a different place before they had their lil people.. ideally anyway.

Even still, every so often the human side of me is like.. dang... umma be so old..

Anyone ever feel like that..?
Those of you that have had lil people early on... how do you feel about having your 'freedom' back way earlier than others..?
Feels good eh..? I know I would.

If I would have had my kids closer together, then I would have been free sooner....lol

I wish I would have waited. At 18, I was not ready to be a mom. I did the best I could. So to be a parent of an older child, you could do what you wanted to do and now have time to love on your kids...

I am blessed that I had the ability to birth children.... and God counted me worthy enough to raise them.

I have a brother who is 34 and he does not have children. He longs to have kids, but he would rather be happy single than miserable with a baby and baby mama drama...lol
Oh! it feels like heaven everyday for me now!!!!!!! - I am having a blast! I don't have to worry about small children running around and depending on me for anything. Especially, in today's economy, I could not imagine having someone depending on me to take care of them!

It was challenging for me back then! so what would you say about now? Noway, I really could not do it! Kids are great but my personality type does not fit that mold too well. I love my space and freedom.
