Stories of Black Women & Men in the Bible

We all no that Febuary is Black history month, we have all celebrate the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. There have been many African-American spokesmen on television, radio, and in the newspaper articles talking about the contributions of blacks in American society. These are all good, but I want to go back, way back, even thousands of years. I would like to look at the stories of 8 men and women in the Bible who were black.

Galatians 3:26-28 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

I should start off by pointing out it is difficult to determine with accuracy black men and women in the Bible because the Bible is color-neutral. There is never any reference to race or racial features. The main distinction throughout the Bible is between those that serve God and those that do not, whether as individuals or as nations. It is not definite that everyone from Ethiopia or Cyrene was black, but certainly you could reasonably assume that it was a good possibility. So this study will have to be considered reasonable speculation.

hello every one this is 13th desciple let me break it down. the bible says GODS chosen race is children of isreal which today is known as african americans. why because they were in slavery 400 years and so were we and the bible says the children of isreal had the same physical appearance as the eygptians and the ethiopians. the bible describes both of those races as having dark skinned so if children of isreal favored them then that means they had dark skin too. why are black people today the children of isreal in the bible well read genesis chapt 15 verses 13-16 GOD told abraham his seed would be brung from their home land to a land not theirs and will be afflicted 400 years. the only race to be brung from their homeland to a land not theirs and enslaved for 400 years are todays african americans. our original homeland was asia today its called africa and the strange land GOD was referring to is america. the bible describes abraham as being a hebrew thats in genesis chapt 14 verse 13 well the hebrews were also described as being dark skinned and GOD said his people were abrahams seed. GOD said in jeremiah chapt 8 verses 21-22 he said I AM BLACK. color doesnt matter when it comes to eternal life but GODS chosen people were black. moses is described as being black in book of exodus scripture says when GOD cursed moses his hands turned white as snow and when he broke the curse his hands turned back to its original color. the only white people in the bible were the romans and the gentiles.
