I took my daughter and 19 of her cousins/classmates/friends to see the movie for my daughters 6th birthday, I loved it and so did they! I think the adults may have enjoyed it even more that the kids!

I look 4 Brown Girls (ages 12 & 13) to see a pre-screening of The Princess & the Frog at Walt Disney Studios and it was fantastic! Not only was the movie darling & delightful, but the girls (who were having a pre-camp bonding experience for CampCaribe.com) got a chance to mimic a Sr. Animator after the movie was over as he drew one of the main characters at The Ultimate Disney Experience. (They even got his autograph on their artwork!)
For the people who have not seen the movie, I would ask that you reserve your judgment until after you've seen it. I keep reading comments from my brothers and sisters who seem to pick this movie apart and haven't even seen it and that doesn't make sense to me. I wonder why we're so critical sometimes; after all, it is not possible to portray ALL African-American sub-cultures in one character. Give Disney some slack. And try not to contaminate your children with your pre-conceived notions. It simply isn't fair.

I took my daughter Amber who is 7 on last night. We both enjoyed it. I think it was an great movie. I think everyone needs to take their kids. The young lady from Mississippi was signing autographs when we came out of the show. She was all smiles.....The line was long and my daughter got tired of waiting, so we didnt get a picture.

My husband and myself took our two daughters. My girls are 7 and 4 years old. We all enjoyed it. It was a wonderful movie. We went last night right shortly after they got out of school. Everyone in the theater enjoyed it. I think the adults enjoyed it just as much as the childrens did. Excellent!!

If you're planning to go to the movie check with your local Mocha Moms chapter. Many are hosting pink carpet events. In Charlotte the pink carpet is Friday at Northlake Mall. You can get tickets on the Mocha Moms website. There is no additional cost for the pink carpet, you only pay for the movie.

My daughter and I went to a private engagement last Thursday in NYC to see the Princess and the Frog, then we went to Roseland Ballroom for a special event to meet Princess Tiana and all the Disney Pricesses. WE LOVED IT.

I may attend, if my daughter and her husband are not taking my 2 grandchildren.

wow that is classic disney for them to steal another persons idea and use it as their own, i have heard this when i worked for disney in the late 90's and mid early 2000's that is so sad. And as for the Princess TiAna why does she look just like cindarella but in a African American way can they not stray away a bit from the norm a lil bit, cause in reality if you take a close look at all the Dissney Princesses they all do look the same but with different hair colors.
